Have you always wanted to try yoga but were nervous to just walk into a class? Come and give this Beginner Yoga Series a try with yoga instructor and founder of Satya Yoga Studio, Melissa Scagliarini E-RYT 500. This low stress series of classes are designed to introduce the basics of yoga to you.  We will go over the different styles of yoga that are out there today, ways to use props and meet your body where its at, as well as the basics in asanas (postures), pranayama (breathing) and meditation. Melissa’s yoga classes have been known to be physically challenging at times, but not this one! This series is for the true beginner and designed to start with the foundations of Yoga. Melissa’s deep understanding of yoga from over 16 yrs of practice and teaching(classes, workshops and Yoga teacher trainings) has given her the ability to hold a safe space for the student to meet themselves where they are at without judgement. The practitioner will be guided on ways to be with the stillness and to learn how to cultivate peace in the body and mind.  Melissa’s intensity when it comes to the physical practice is balanced with a softness in her acceptance and non judgmental spirit. She truly practices yoga both on and off the mat and has seen first hand the positive effects of this 5,000 year old practice.
